About

From personal experience

Corlori D’Amore was founded by Sigrid D’Amore. She studied in Italy, where she received a degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature. Sigrid later completed a degree in Women’s Studies in the Netherlands.

More than 20 years ago, Sigrid moved from Rome to the Netherlands, where she held various international positions. Although she consciously took the decision to move to the Netherlands, it has not always been easy for her. She had to discover and get used to the unique customs and culture of the Netherlands in order to feel at home. This meant it took her some time to develop her full potential here. She uses this experience to help other women who stay in the Netherlands for a shorter or longer period of time, to get grounded and feel at home as quickly as possible.

Feeling at home

Sigrid has a unique understanding of what it means to take on the challenges of another culture and find your way in a new home. She is familiar with the homesickness, with feeling out of place, and the frustrations you can encounter in a new country. It can be difficult to adapt without losing yourself.

Through trial and error, she eventually learned to appreciate the richness that a life in the Netherlands offers you, without denying her own background and culture. With Colori D’Amore she wants to share her experience with the women she supports. She helps them find their way in their new (temporary) homeland with the aim of getting the best out of their experience and life in the Netherlands.
